Terms of use
The plain-language terms for using this site and the collective’s request service — written to match what actually happens, step by step.
The collective’s role
The collective coordinates a network of independent local trades. It routes your request to one named member, who assesses the work and provides a quote and contract under their own business name.
The collective is not the contractor, employer, insurer or guarantor of the work, and it never shows a “verified professional” stamp.
Requests and quotes
Sending a request is not a quote or a booking. It is a structured description of the work that lets a member decide whether they can help and what it would cost.
Naming a preferred member never guarantees that member is assigned — routing is subject to service fit, coverage and current capacity. You always see who before anything is priced.
Payments and contracts
Deposits and payments go directly to the contracting member through secure hosted payment. The collective does not pool or hold your funds.
The scope, price and terms are set out in the member’s written quote and contract. If the scope changes, the member issues a new version rather than quietly editing the old one.
