Accessibility

Making the site usable by everyone

We want every customer to be able to find a trade and request work, regardless of ability or the device they use.

Illustrative demonstration. This site is a demo of the Skilled Trades Collective, so some prototype screens are not yet fully audited. We state that honestly rather than claim conformance we have not verified.

What we aim for

Our target is WCAG 2.1 AA: content that works with a keyboard alone, sufficient colour contrast, form fields that are clearly labelled, and pages that make sense to a screen reader.

The request flow

The quote request needs no account and can be completed from any device. Every field is labelled, choices are reachable by keyboard, and a rough area is enough — you are never forced to over-share.

If you cannot finish in one sitting, you can return to the same device and continue.

Known limitations

As an illustrative demonstration, a few interactive prototypes have not been through a full accessibility audit. Where we know a screen falls short, we would rather note it than paper over it.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, or a barrier stops you from requesting work, we want to know so we can fix it.

Report an accessibility issue to accessibility@skilledtradescollective.com (a demonstration address).
