How we handle your information

A plain-language summary of what the collective collects when you request a quote, how it is used to reach one named member, and the choices you have.

Illustrative demonstration. This site is a demo of the Skilled Trades Collective. Members, credentials and metrics shown are synthetic. This summary describes how the collective is designed to handle real information in a live deployment.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect the details you enter on the request form: the kind of work, your area or postal code, your description of the job, timing, preferred language, and your contact details (name, email, and an optional phone number).

No account is required to send a request, and we do not ask for more than a member needs to assess the work and reach you.

How your information is used

Your request is routed to one named member business that covers your area and does this kind of work. That member receives your request so they can assess it and send you a quote directly.

We use your contact details only to coordinate this request — to confirm who it went to, and to follow up if a member needs a clarification.

Who can see your request

The contracting member and the collective’s coordination team. The member quotes and contracts under their own business name.

Payments and contracts are handled directly between you and the member. The collective does not pool or hold your funds.

Your choices and how to reach us

You can ask what we hold about a request, or ask us to delete it. Because a request may already be with a member, we will tell you what has been shared.
